Meet Wayne Chaisty
Established for over 40 years, Wayne began his welding career in the 1970s, serving his apprenticeship in a traditional chain factory before travelling abroad to work in dockyards across Europe. Returning to the UK, he opened his first workshop in Manchester, later expanding with retail outlets in Didsbury and Marple.
Combining decades of craftsmanship with a passion for artistic metalwork, Wayne creates bespoke sculptures, decorative installations, furnishings, and architectural ironwork inspired by everything from Art Nouveau and Art Deco to the raw beauty of the natural world.
After taking time to focus on family life following the arrival of his two daughters, Wayne has returned to the forge with renewed creativity and enthusiasm — continuing to produce distinctive handcrafted pieces for homes, gardens, and commercial spaces.
Whether you are looking for a statement sculpture, bespoke feature piece, or practical ironwork with artistic flair, Wayne welcomes commissions of all sizes and would be delighted to discuss your ideas.

Yes. Installation can be included as part of the quotation where required. Clients are also welcome to arrange installation independently if preferred.
Yes. Delivery can be arranged throughout the UK. Delivery and transportation costs will depend on the size and location of the commission and will be quoted in advance.

As every piece is individually handcrafted and tailored to the client, prices vary depending on size, complexity, materials, and installation requirements. A full quotation will always be provided before any work begins.
Yes. Wayne can work from your own concepts, sketches, or inspiration images, or alternatively help develop an original design for you. Design drawings and concepts can be provided prior to fabrication to ensure you are happy with the final direction.
Timescales vary depending on the scale and complexity of the project. Estimated lead times will be discussed during the quotation process.
Yes. Wayne undertakes both private and commercial commissions, including feature installations, signage, decorative pieces, and architectural ironwork.
Visits may be possible by appointment. Please get in touch to discuss your project and arrange a suitable time.
In many cases, yes. Wayne may be able to restore, adapt, or enhance existing metalwork depending on the project.
